We are a busy, friendly and inclusive school, with lots going on and lots to be proud of. Our most recent inspections (March 2011 & and June 2014) highlighted amd confirmed the strengths of our school:

  • “The quality of education provided by this school is outstanding”
  • “Excellent standards achieved by children in literacy and numeracy”
  • “The quality of pastoral care is also outstanding”.

We acknowledge the great relationship we have with our parent body and recognise that it is only when school and home is in harmony that the child's best interests are served. By working in close partnership with you, we will ensure that your daughter thrives at Our Lady’s Primary School.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful PTA who have sponsored the cost of our new website design and the hosting fee yearly. The website proves to be a great means of communication between the school and all parents - an aim shared by both the management of the school and the PTA.

Through our new website, we aim to give you a taster of our school, showcase our pupils' successes and provide regular updated information for both parents and pupils. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. If you are looking for a "quick fix" we also have a Twitter link embedded in the home page. Our Twitter page also gives a flavour of life at Our Lady's Primary. Please feel free to contact the school with any queries you may have.

In Our Lady's Girls' Primary School we aim to:

  • Provide a Catholic Education in an environment where Christian values are actively lived and where the growth of the whole child is fostered.
  • Enable each pupil to live a full life as a child in a secure and happy child-centred environment.
  • Foster in each child a love of learning, a knowledge of how to learn and the motivation to produce her best work.
  • Develop in the child self-esteem, sensitivity to and respect for others, self-confidence, inner contentment, habits of self-discipline and resilience and acceptable social behaviour.
  • Develop in the child an awareness of her own cultural heritage and to promote an understanding of and a tolerance towards other cultures and religions.
  • Help the child understand the world in which she lives and the interdependence of individuals groups and nations.

We believe that each child is an individual with individual talents, abilities and needs. Our goal is to ensure that each pupil acquires the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for responsible citizenship and develops the qualities of perseverance and resilience for the challenge of tomorrow's world.
