Holy Cross Boys' Primary School

Our goal is to ensure that all children are given the opportunity to reach their full potential, both academically and socially, and are part of a successful learning community that prepares them for the future.Holy Cross Boys' Primary School is developing in many ways, whilst maintaining a strong ethos of care and supporting children’s overall development.

Results in the key tests for pupils are great. The Education and Training Inspectorate(ETI) rates us very highly: praising the teaching, learning, behaviour of the students, standards within the school and engagement with parents at Holy Cross Boys' Primary School, and noting outstanding leadership and management in a recent inspection of our school in which they rated our school as 'Outstanding' in every criteria that was assessed.

As we grow, we are providing more of the specialist support required to enable each child to thrive, whether in quickly mastering literacy and numeracy or developing more widely through our excellent sports, music and ICT facilities. When your child excels, they will be supported and encouraged to perform even better. If they find anything difficult, they will be assisted by the helpful staff in order to help them catch up quickly to their peers.

Our role as Governors is to work with the leadership team to ensure that Holy Cross Boys' Primary School provides an excellent education for your child. We bring together parents, representatives of the local community and people with national expertise in education and running organisations, and use this knowledge to help set the direction for Holy Cross Boys' Primary School, provide practical support and hold the school to account. You will see our key aims for your child's education at Holy Cross Boys' Primary School detailed in our Governors' Pledge in the space below.

As a parent of past pupils from Holy Cross Boys' Primary School, and having been invited to observe teaching in classrooms, We have seen how the teachers and other staff are committed to this ethos of helping every child reach their full potential and know they are benefiting from it.
