North London Grammar School

Welcome to our state-of-the-art independent day and boarding school, nestled in the vibrant heart of London. With a commitment to providing top-tier education for students aged 7-18, our journey began in 2006 with the establishment of Wisdom School in Tottenham, Haringey. Our vision was clear: to create an affordable, independent school that delivers exceptional education while celebrating diversity and literacy excellence. The overwhelming response from our community proved that we were on the right path.

In 2015, we embarked on a new chapter in our school’s history by relocating to a spacious 50,000 sq ft campus in Barnet, bidding farewell to our quaint Tottenham building of 6000 sq ft. Our new, cutting-edge facility embodies modern design and technology, aligning with our commitment to offer an unrivalled educational experience. This move empowered us to better meet the evolving needs of our students and continue our journey of academic discovery and holistic development.

Our school proudly calls London home, a city renowned for its diversity and cultural richness. Our student body mirrors this unique blend, as individuals from diverse backgrounds converge to establish a vibrant and inclusive learning community. We embrace the title of a grammar school, symbolizing our unwavering focus on academic excellence, intelligence cultivation, and the promotion of self-discipline as key pillars of our educational ethos.

At NLGS, we are dedicated to unlocking the full potential of every student, regardless of their starting point. Our highly skilled and empathetic educators are instrumental in guiding our pupils to achieve remarkable progress throughout their academic journey. We tailor our curriculum to cater to individual needs, ensuring that our teaching methods are consistently effective.

Our ambition extends beyond local boundaries. We aim not only to make our students the best within our school but also to prepare them to excel nationally and internationally. To achieve this, we actively engage our students in rigorous international Olympiads. This resulted in numerous gold and silver medals over the years. Our commitment to excellence knows no bounds, and we are determined to see our students shine on the world stage.

Join us at NLGS, where we foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and achievement. Together, we embark on a journey of educational excellence that spans the globe, nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.

We have been able to replicate this success in other countries around the world and spread our brand. At present, we have agreements to open branch UFP schools in five countries: China, Myanmar, Kazakhstan, Ghana, Kenya, and Morocco.
