One of the pillars of a Salisbury University education is community outreach and civic engagement. Each year, students in some 100 organizations perform more than 35,000 hours of volunteer service. Perhaps you’ve seen them mentoring at local elementary schools, reading to children at the Wicomico Public Library or assisting with arts events on the Downtown Plaza. SU student organizations have provided support for community members with cognitive disabilities, collected food and clothes for the area’s homeless, and taken pets to visit area shut-ins. Likewise, many faculty and staff support community causes personally as well as through campus offices and programs.

The greater Salisbury and Lower Shore communities have played critical roles in the history and success of Salisbury University. The Salisbury University Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships understands that financing your education is one of the most important life decisions you and your family face. At first, it might seem overwhelming, but we can help you secure resources that will make your college education affordable. Investing in a college education often requires students and their families to look beyond their own resources for assistance. Salisbury students can receive funds for college in the forms of scholarships, grants, loans, work study and assistantships. These awards are based on your financial need and/or academic record.
