Port Macquarie Adventist School (PMAS) is a co-educational school, owned and operated by Seventh-day Adventist Schools (NNSW) Ltd, a member of Adventist Schools Australia (ASA). ASA is a part of the worldwide Adventist education system, one of the largest Protestant education systems in the world.
Established in 1952 and moved onto its current site in 1992, PMAS provides an approved program of education for students from Pre-Kindy to Year 6. PMAS is registered and accredited by the NSW Education Standard Authority (NESA), a body that regulates all independent schools in NSW and prescribes the NSW Curriculum guidelines and outcomes. PMAS supports and exceeds all the regulatory standards and accreditation standards set out by the NES, as well as following all Federal Government guidelines.
In addition, PMAS is a member of the Association of Independent Schools (AIS) of NSW. The local administration of the school is delegated to a School Council appointed by the Board of Directors. The School Council usually meets on a monthly basis during school term.
We believe not only are we educating students for the here and now, we are also educating them for beyond school. We believe the harmonious development of the physical, mental, and spiritual child is our highest priority. This, we believe, is achieved through authentic, open, and respectful relationships.
Our school is a faith-based school. We believe in God and hold Christian values close to our core being. We openly share those values and beliefs with our students and community.
When you join the PMAS community you are choosing to affiliate yourself with a community of like minded individuals. We look forward to joining with you in providing a well-rounded Christian education for your children.
