Pinner Wood School

Pinner Wood is a three form entry school, set in a first class learning environment, for children from Nursery to Year 6. We run a Breakfast and After School Club onsite providing services for parents additional to the school hours.

We offer a holistic education – we want our children to develop as responsible and caring citizens who succeed in all aspects of school life. We work in partnership with families from the very start, to ensure every child has the very best opportunities.

Our vision is to be at the heart of our community with our own style of education, encouraging each and every child to ‘dream big’ and to provide the opportunities and foundations for them to be successful and fulfilled people. We embrace individualism and diversity in all we do and we offer all our children the experience and discovery of a broad, rich and deep curriculum.

It is important to us to build a love of learning for our children, both in and out of the classroom, while embracing a variety of teaching techniques and approaches to maximise learning. Our children will become confident, curious and resilient, ready for the next stage of their educational journey.

Pinner Wood School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Safeguarding Policy which can be viewed in in this section of our website. Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare.

We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare. We actively support the Government’s Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism. All staff receive annual Child Protection and Safeguarding update training and are aware of the procedures for passing on concerns within school.
