Boarding has never been so popular, and we are delighted that the number of boarders has trebled in ten years. For full and weekly boarders, Brighton College is a home away from home.

All of our boarders benefit from state-of-the art facilities, warm relationships with those in their house "families", a rich programme of clubs and activities, and all that the College has to offer. You can read more about our boarding principles and practice

Weekly boarding: a unique approach
Our weekly boarding experience means that pupils can enjoy four nights of school life, and three weekend nights at home with their parents. Pupils have the option of joining in with weekend activities if they wish.

Full boarding: so much on offer
Our lively community of full boarders enjoys all the same amenities as weekly boarders plus the opportunity to get involved in weekend activities. Pupils may choose from a terrific array of games and clubs.

Sixth Form boarding: a stepping stone to university
Living away from home offers a real stepping stone to university life, and our boarding houses all offer Sixth Form boarding. In addition, we have recently introduced our first co-educational boarding house specifically for the Sixth Form, Alexander House.

Feel at home
An experienced and dedicated team of boarding staff creates a warm and caring atmosphere across all six boarding houses. Our medical centre provides around the clock healthcare by trained professionals.

We pride ourselves on providing our pupils with a safe and supportive environment. Each house gives pupils a community and a comfortable home where they can feel a sense of belonging, make friends and take part in activities. This enables pupils to flourish at a time in their life when they are making great leaps in their academic, physical and emotional development

Superior facilities
Our latest girls' boarding house - New House - was awarded a RIBA architectural prize and was longlisted for the prestigious Stirling prize.

We have a rolling programme of interior design with pupil involvement, led by a team of top London designers, to ensure that our boarding facilities are a real home away from home.

Our boarders take full advantage of the excellent facilities within the College, and our prime location means that many of the arts and community events take place in the city itself.
