CANADIAN BOARDING STUDENTS

Grade 8-11, Canadian Citizen/Permanent Resident

Application Fee

A non-refundable Application Fee of $200 is due at the time the application is submitted.

Registration Fee

A non-refundable Registration Fee is payable upon Acceptance.

Ancillary Deposit

A $1,500 deposit to the student’s account will be applied to: Custodianship Fee, textbooks, stationery and supplies, offsite optional activities, annual year book and certificate programs from third party providers. Any credit balance at the end of the school year will be transferred to the next school year or will be refunded to the parents. (Custodianship Fee is not charged to Day Students.)

School Uniform

School uniforms are required for all students and must be worn at all times at school. Uniforms are purchased directly from our designated uniform service provider.

Siblings Discount

Each additional sibling will receive a $500 discount on tuition fees annually.

Boarding

The Boarding Fee covers room and board, daily meals, 24/7 care, scheduled after school and weekend activities, and airport pick up and drop off on designated dates. The Boarding Facility is closed for Winter Break (December 19, 2019 - January 10, 2020), Spring Break (March 13 - March 28, 2020) and Summer Break (June 26 - September 5, 2020).

Medical Insurance

Medical Insurance ($900) is a mandatory BC Medical Services Plan for those on a valid study permit. Students must have MSP or private health care. Extended Health Insurance ($500 Optional) covers dental and other health medical costs which basic medical insurance does not cover.

Refund Prior to Arrival

Refund Prior to August 15th:

In the event that a student is unable to study at Unisus School, all fees paid will be refunded, except for the application fee. If the student withdraws between August 15th to 30th: 2/3 of the tuition and boarding fees are refundable. No refund after September 1st when the program is deemed to have started. All fees will be refunded if Unisus School is not able to maintain BC Ministry Certification.

Refund After Student Arrives

If the student withdraws within one month of arrival, 1/2 of the tuition and boarding fees are refundable. No refund of the tuition and boarding fees if the student withdraws after the first calendar month of the program. No refund of the tuition and boarding fees if the student is found to be in violation of school policy or the student is expelled.

Attendance

The school reserves the right to inform the Canadian Immigration authorities if a student who has been issued with a visa to study at the school fails to enroll or stops attending class.

On weekends and holidays our residential coordinators are on site 24 hours a day to offer the following support:
