Oak Hills Christian College has deep roots in the Minnesota Northwoods. From its start in 1946, we have been teaching, training and transforming those who have come here for service in God’s Kingdom for over 70 years.
Oak Hills Christian College is a unique learning community that is making a significant impact in our region, our nation, and the world. As a student you will be immersed in the study of the Word of God. Through constant engagement with the Bible you will grow in your love for God and for people. You will be encouraged and challenged to think biblically. You will find direction for your life. You will be equipped to utilize your unique personal gifts in a way that makes an impact for Jesus wherever he leads you.
As a student you will study, learn, grow, play, laugh, cry, and pray together with fellow students, many of whom will become life-long friends. You will be part of a close-knit community that serves as a catalyst for your personal spiritual growth.
Through the Student Outreach program, you’ll have opportunity to use what you’re learning in serving others. Internships, mission trips, and a variety of campus events will help shape your passion and calling, and increase your effectiveness as a follower of Christ.
Oak Hills Christian College is also part of the Oak Hills Fellowship which includes a Christian Camp, a Center for Native American Ministries, and a Church Ministries Department that are being used by God to transform lives. At Oak Hills you will have opportunity to learn, grow, observe, and take part in things that matter forever.
Oak Hills Christian College is a Christian academic community whose mission is to provide biblically centered higher education which contributes to growth toward Christlikeness and prepares students for effective service in their homes, careers, churches, and communities.
To accomplish its mission, OHCC uses the means of undergraduate higher education, including the study of the Bible as central to the formation of a Christian life and worldview; the study of human thought, history, and culture; the study of the theory and skills of Christian ministry; and the application of this learning in ministry and internship experiences.
This academic program is conducted within the context of a Christian college community in which all members are encouraged to treat each other respectfully as persons made in the image of God. Oak Hills seeks to serve a broad section of qualified students who profess faith in Christ and who desire a Bible-centered education. This educational foundation is provided through programs leading to our degrees.
Oak Hills Christian College is committed to your success as a student and as a follower of Christ. We take a “personal on purpose” approach that allows the community of OHCC to grow in faith together. Come be a part of the Oak Hills Family.
We want you to be the real you - the you that God is calling you to be. We expect you to think for yourself. You’ll be learning from highly qualified, Christian professors who are active professionals in their fields. We believe that through your experience here, you will understand and interpret Scripture rightly, develop an explicitly biblical worldview and be well-equipped for your career.
True knowledge and wisdom can only be gained when learning is rooted in a biblical worldview. OHCC students are challenged and encouraged to learn what God has to say about the world, humanity and service. We expect students to think critically and come to their own conclusions.
Professors at Oak Hills Christian College are deeply committed to your success. They seek to walk alongside you in your journey of spiritual and academic transformation. The caring OHCC community provides many opportunities outside the classroom environment for you to engage with the faculty in real conversations about life, learning and faith.
Oak Hills Christian College is committed to your success as a student and as a follower of Christ. We strive to keep the OHCC experience authentic and relevant. You'll apply your learning in real-world work and ministry contexts, preparing you for whatever comes next in your life.
OHCC students make a difference in the community as a part of our Outreach Program. Options are as diverse as students’ interests and include anything from working with a local church youth group to serving meals at the soup kitchen to mentoring a child with special needs. This is a great opportunity to use your God-given gifts and talents while enhancing your college experience.
Oak Hills Christian College prides itself on being a vibrant community of individuals seeking to assist each other in growth toward Christlikeness. Faculty, Staff and fellow students all provide needed mentorship that will assist you in your journey toward becoming who God wants you to be.
The Student Action Leadership Team (SALT) is similar to a student council. They serve as a channel of communication between the student body and the OHCC administration. They also come alongside other teams to present opportunities for spiritual growth and enrichment on campus.
