Designed and taught by industry experts, Macleay College’s Diploma and Bachelor courses focus on innovative practices and project-based learning. The small classes feature personalised teaching that nurtures each student’s unique strength. All courses include a compulsory internship unit where students work with leading organisations, businesses and agencies. This provides students an enviable list of professional contacts before they even graduate.

We understand that different people are looking for different outcomes when they chose to study at Macleay. That’s why we offer both Diploma and Bachelor programs. All our Diploma courses can be completed within 12 months. No ATAR is required to apply for the Diploma programs. Graduating with a Diploma opens to the door to many employment opporunities. It also provides a pathway into the second year of the associated Bachelor program. Our Bachelor degrees can be completed within 2 years. This means you will graduate faster than traditional universities. If you have completed Year 12 in the last two years, we review your ATAR as one part of your application but it is not everything. Talk to our Admissions Team to understand our admission requirements - you can secure your place today! Our Graduate Certificate strengthens the knowledge and skills gained from your undergraduate degree and/or industry experience. Classes are scheduled in the evenings to allow you to combine work and studies.

You learn by doing at Macleay. Pitching business ideas to entrepreneurs, recording a radio ad in the studio or writing a story in the Newsroom. Our curriculum is as hands-on and practical as you can get. Most of your studies will be centred around project-based learning. This means you’ll be working on authentic real-life projects with your peers in a creative learning environment where everyone has a voice and where everyone can make a contribution.

Our teachers are all working or have worked in industry that they are teaching in. They bring latest the trends and insights to the classroom every day to ensure you are job ready upon graduation. It also means you’ll benefit of their industry network. Many of our teachers have introduced students to their future employers or supported connections to get graduates one step closer to their dream role.

We adopt the principles and practices of positive education at Macleay. We teach students how to adopt a growth mindset and capitalise on their strengths. Students develop skills that support relationship development, enhance personal reliance, adopt mindfulness and gratitude and encourage a healthy lifestyle. These qualities will help them respond constructively to challenges in their studies as well as their broader personal and work life. This empowers individuals to realise their potential and flourish.

No matter what you’re studying, classes are held over 3 set days each week. This leaves students at least 4 spare days to study or work. A healthy work/learn balance is an important part of life at Macleay and this timetable is one of the ways we achieve it. We understand it can be difficult to juggle different schedules and times so we purposely design the timetable to ensure you have plenty of time for life outside of studying. For even more flexibility, students also have the option to study part-time and take evening classes (subject to class sizes).

However you’re feeling, we are here to help. A qualified counsellor is available for students in our Sydney and Melbourne campus every week. Students and staff can book a private and confidential meeting free of charge with our College counsellor for those in need of some extra personal and emotional support. Students are encouraged to attend free workshops on study tips, referencing, essay writing, search and research and report writing, which are held regularly on campus.

Macleay College in Sydney has been a game-changer for my son; the engaging curriculum paired with incredibly supportive staff has fueled his passion for learning and sparked remarkable growth.

Awesome! The best college I have ever attended! I completed my HeDipBusMkt here at Macleay, and the teacher was the textbook author Peter Rix. To be educated by industry professionals who have written the course which is respected by industry leaders and the marketing and business industry, as well as have real examples and simulations brought to the classroom on top of industry experience internships (that are not coffee runs) and hardcore business setup exam where you start your own business and use everything you have learnt in marketing - Macleay College is perfect!!! DO NOT GO TO UNI go to Macleay College (first!!)
