TasTAFE is the largest vocational education and training provider in Tasmania. With 12 campuses, we operate effectively throughout the State and offer more than 370 courses and qualifications. Being Government owned brings many benefits to our students such as a modern campus network, fully registered teachers and contemporary training facilities. To be registered by the Tasmanian Teachers Registration Board our TAFE teachers have to meet higher standards than trainers in other organisations. Our managers and support staff also have the highest expectations placed upon their work.

We recognise that studying can be challenging when you are an adult as you have to balance all of the other demands upon your time. TasTAFE is proud to deliver more than 370 nationally accredited and industry-endorsed qualifications from Certificate I to Advanced Diploma level, to short courses and pre-vocational/pre-employment foundation programs. Owned by the Tasmanian Government it is a stable, state-owned asset. TasTAFE operates under the auspices of its own legislative functions and powers and is governed by an independent Statutory Board who report to the Minister.
