Job Summary
Experience Required:
ESSENTIAL:
Minimum of 5 years relevant industry, preferably oil industry and/ teaching experience, at least 3 years of which in industry
IT skills
DESIRABLE:
Experience in Oil & Gas/Refinery/Petrochemical/Desalination or similar industries Maintenance, trouble shooting, operation
Qualification in teaching
Teaching experience at vocational level
Education Requirements:
BSc Degree or equivalent in Control Engineering or Electronics & Control, Electrical & Control.
DESIRABLE:
MSc or/and PhD
LANGUAGE:
Fluent in verbal and written English, coherent.
Effective presentation and interpersonal skills
Job Statement:
Reporting to the Department Chair – Engineering, to assist in the preparation and delivery of practical Instrumentation and Control based subjects to national students at Diploma/Higher Diploma level.
Special Aptitudes:
Specialist Expertise in the following:
Control systems
Instrumentation
DCS, SCADA
Curriculum development
Some common Software related to Control and Industrial Instruments- DCS, SCADA
Hands on Industrial experience in the streams. Quality Assurance

Enthusiastic, Honest, Adaptable/Flexible
Expressive/Innovative
Personable/willing to teach 25 (50mins) Pds/ week at Diploma/Higher Diploma level.
